OUR STORY

How we started

My mother started me off on my cooking adventures at a very early age when she sent off to the Imperial Sugar Company for a copy of "My First Cookbook" .  It was a great kid-friendly cookbook and it taught me how to measure, follow a recipe, and make tasty Circus Cookies, Roly-Polys, and a creative Candlestick Salad. I continued to learn new skills and try new recipes.  Before long, I was actually making whole famly meals since I had free time after school while my mom was at work until 5PM.

My first real effort at cake decorating came in the form of my son's first birthday cake.  I bought the Wilton Caroussel Cake Kit and made a cake that was so cheerful and bright that it begged for a photo opportunity.  I placed my baby son next to it so I could snap a picture, and he promptly stuck his foot in it!  What did I expect?  He was one year old!

Through the years, I have tried to learn new techniques, taken a few classes, and subjected many friends, relatives and c0-workers  to my "artistic talents"  At the encouragement of many, I have now decided to make my creativity and talent available to others.

If you have a need for a custom decorated cake, a cookie bouquet, pecan pralines, cupcakes, or any other sweet and tasty creation, I hope you will give me a call or e-mail me to discuss your event.

I look forward to creating Sweet Cyn-sations for you.

Sincerely,

Cynthia Ford
